A special lunch to commemorate the centenary of the ending of the First World War

At 11.00am on 11th November 1918, 100 years ago this year, the guns fell silent and the fighting stopped in the Great War. By the time the war was over and the Allied Powers claimed victory, more than 16 million people, soldiers and civilians alike, were dead.

We will be commemorating this event with a special lunch - bookings now being taken at the Woodhatch Centre. Tickets £8.50.

During the week commencing 5th November, we would also like to remember those who took part in the war.

We would like to have a table top display remembering those who fought.  Do you have any memorabilia from the Great War, photos, stories etc. that you would like to share?  If so, please bring your items along, during the first week of November, so that we can set up a display in time for the centenary.
