Bob Phillips has been elected as our new Chair, taking over from Debbie Stinson, who has stepped down after extending her term to see the organisation through the Covid crisis.

Bob lives in Tolworth. He was born in Zomba, Malawi; he is married and has two grown-up children, and three more who joined his family as adults, and four grand-daughters.

He has had a long and distinguished international career working in a number of senior roles. Since retiring in 2008, Bob has worked for several charities and has published a number of books in history and memoir.  He was a founding Community Governor of Your Healthcare, he is a member of the Surbiton History Society, of Heart for Romania, and is also Vice Chair of the committee of the Friends of Kingston Museum.

Of his role new role, Bob said: ‘Staywell is a tremendous organisation, an organisation which plays a very important role in our community, I am honoured and proud to be the new Chair.'
