Making homes… saving waste!

Based in the heart of Kingston, Kingston Community Furniture offers quality used and recycled furniture. We can also collect unwanted furniture to be restored and re-used or recycled. We work to support local families and individuals in need – whilst also helping the environment by saving waste.

Kingston Community Furniture complements Staywell's work in the community, by providing affordable household goods, providing support and work experience for volunteers, and reducing the amount of furniture going to landfill. Donating to Kingston Community Furniture means fewer unnecessary things going to waste, and more good quality affordable items being available to the community.

Want to support your local community? See our range of services below.

Mattress Recycling

We offer a mattress recycling service in the Royal Borough of Kingston. For a small charge of only £27.50 we will collect your surplus mattress and pass it on to our recycling partners to be dismantled.

Unless your mattress constitutes a health hazard (e.g. bed bugs) clearance is guaranteed when the collection charge has been paid.

Mattresses present ongoing waste problems which can be solved by recycling. This also helps to preserve and protect our environment.

For detailed information or to make an enquiry, please complete the enquiry form, email [email protected] or call 020 8942 5500 and leave a message, stating clearly your name, contact phone number and the best time to reach you.

Volunteering opportunities

Have some time on your hands? Looking for a way to give something back? Looking for work experience? Volunteering could be for you.

We URGENTLY need more volunteer assistants to help run our shop. We also URGENTLY need help with deliveries and collections, restoring furniture or even helping with behind-the-scenes admin. However you can help, you’ll get valuable experience and rewarding work with a great team.

Full training is provided, and health and safety measures are in place to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers and customers during the Covid-19 situation.
